Bytware values your privacy. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available via a footer link on every page within our website and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

Information collected about your computer systems is used in order to provide you better service by identifying the appropriate product version for your system. In the case of prize drawings this information is used to verify that you qualify to win as an actual user of IBM Power Systems, System i, iSeries, or AS/400 servers, or other systems specified as required in the contest rules.

 

We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive. Such addresses are not shared with outside parties. If you are a Bytware customer or have requested information from Bytware such addresses may be used to to provide you with information about Bytware products and services. You may opt-out of of such mailings by replying to the message with a subject line that reads NOT INTERESTED.

 

You can register with our website to request materials such as brochures, white papers, and case studies. Information you submit on our website through these registration forms may be used to contact you to follow up on your request, provide you with requested materials, and answer your questions. This information will be used only by Bytware and will not be shared with outside parties.

 

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website. For example, we may record that X number of individuals visited a certain area of our website, or that Y percentage use a given platform and Z number of visitors originate from a specific country; but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals. This information is used to determine the best placement of information to better serve you and make it easier for you to locate the information that you are looking for.

 

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
